What is Cognitive Behavioural Coaching?

Cognitive Behavioural coaching is for people who have problems but do not have a diagnosable mental health problem. Cognitive behavioural coaching uses the Cognitive Behavioural model to focus on an individual’s personal and professional development. The Cognitive Behavioural model is based on the idea that the way that you think about events in your life profoundly influences the way you feel about them and the way that you behave in relation to them. Cognitive Behavioural Coaching aims to help you to develop your capabilities in a given area(s) by identifying and helping you to change the psychological hindrance(s) to achieving your goals.

How does it work?

Cognitive Behavioural coaching takes a close interest in understanding the thoughts and beliefs, emotions and behaviours that may be helping or  hindering your development and aims to help you to change those unhelpful thoughts and behaviours in order to enable you to achieve your own goals.
